Is This What Police Are Being Taught Today?
At a recent inquest, it was appallingly revealed that a police officer had stood unmoved as a man drowned while two other members of the public dived straight in the waters - was actually following his training.[em]shocked[/em]I just could not help feeling flabbergasted with his statements at the inquest and had my mind reeling with a lot of questions about how the next generation of law enforcers are trained. Most of all the implementations of such atrocious police guidelines where they can actually let a man drown in their line of duty. This is absolute BS and not acceptable in principle, sanity, justice and even logic. It is just insane and I hope that the police officer including the institution will be held responsible for this unnecessary loss of life and that they be punished. What is becoming of this world?[em]angry[/em]Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1281219/You-save-Im-allowed-Policeman-left-man-drown-following-training-inquest-hears.html
If you are stop by the police...........
I have a question in regarding to your own rights. If you were stop by a police, and you were accused of speeding. From your memory, you remember that you didn't drive over the speed limit, do you have the right to ask the police officer to show you the proof of his accusation? Like the reading on his speeding gun? Because it won't be fair base those police officers assumption that you were speeding, and there is no actual proof whether our average citizens were speeding or not. They simply write you a ticket and you have to go pay the fine. So, can you ask for a proof at the moment or contest at court?
Pagan police officers granted right to festival holidays.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1276921/Pagan-police-win-right-time-festivals.htmlThis is good news and brings it in line with various other faiths who can claim time off for their holy days. However the comment "What has it come to when a cop gets time off so he can sit about making spells or DANCE AROUND THE PLACE DRINKING HONEY BEER WITH A WAND IN HIS HAND?" cracked me up totally.
If a police officer violate a traffic law, who gonna write him a ticket?
I just wonder, does a police officer driving a police car has special authority, even though they are breaking the traffic law as many people saw it? Many times, one or two police car was rushing over 55 miles in a 35 street. Some polices even turn the siren on for the intention of not want to wait in red light. After they pass the red light, they simply turn it off. For that, who are going to give them ticket, I was just curious. Also, even a civilian file a complaint report to the police supervisor, would they even consider take a look at the complaint report or investigate it? Which I doubt it.
UK guns and the Police
I've lived in the UK for the last 4 years now and I've come across real fear of the guns in this country. And it is not only regarding an average citizen bearing a gun but also regular police force equipped only with a whistle to tackle often heavily armed criminals. Some of the UK readers might say: but we have armed police. It's all good but think of response time-how many armed units are there? Are they gonna make it on time? How many officers got shot because criminals know that they don't have guns and can't fire back? I am affraid it's in consequence to years of washing peoples brains out and telling them what to do. It works in so many other countries out there why it doesn't in Britain?
Why do employers overlook EMTs, police, and army veterans when hiring??
I'm an emt who works for a private company for $12 an hour, all I want is a 2nd job (in customer service) paying about the same thing and it doesn't have to be in the health field, put me behind a desk or something, doorman, I don't care. But I guess its ok for employers to OVERLOOK us EMTs and army veterans after all the hard work we do and the risks we take, just so they can hire some moron with a bachelors or something. Whoopie doo!!! I'm applying for a friggin customer service job, I have 8 years exp of customer service, 2 of which I've been an EMT. All those years should qualify me for any damn customer service job.ON TOP of that, EMS is a very HIGH level of customer service because we are SAVING LIVES and TREATING PATIENTS. That's much more personal than helping someone get a different shirt size or giving someone their change. One time I applied for a cust servce rep position that paid $39,000 per year. Now this interviewer knew about all the experience I had in customer service. YET the position goes to someone else. What the heck, did the other person have***9*** years of experience as opposed to my 8??? LOL. To anyone who wants to get into EMS, police,...
Do you trust the police?
I was asked this question recently. I was asked if I thought I could trust the police, as well as would I believe them more than a civilian, if they were being interviewed.I personally, don't trust them. I think they will lie to get whatever they want. I don't think they are totally dishonest, but I wouldn't put it past them to lie. But, I can't say whether or not I would believe them more than a regular person. I think that all depends on what they are being questioned about. In most cases I would expect both to lie, but I think the police would be more likely to lie to cover things up.What do you think?
Police Commissioner of Hyderabad asks visitors to carry IDENTITY-- TERROR threat
Just heard the breaking news. The police are taking no chances this time. In INDIA, hyderabad, there seems to be a early warning about imminent terror attack. and, the check at railway stations, bus stands, public places, etc has increased.Any new visitor to this place is asked to carry some identity paper on his person, so as to help the police.Hope this time, the innocent people win over TERROR.
What defines "police brutality"?
I see a lot of it reported on the news, very frequently actually. What's the deal with the rise, or the rise in exposure at least, of police brutality incidents. Who is to blame in the situation>>?
GC police don't do anything.
Adam is on the loose and the most likely place he would go is to see Sharon, but the GC police don't check it out; it is left for Nick to do it. The word is that Adam is in the basement and everyone but the police are looking around down there for him. There is a gas leak and it is people like Victor, Nick, etc. who are warning people and ushering them out and no police in site. It is a benefit for the police so I guess they considered it to be a night off.
